Working for Together Stronger South Wales

Are you enthusiastic, compassionate, and resilient — someone who enjoys making a real difference? We'd love to hear from you.

At Together Stronger South Wales, we support children and young people who have experienced significant challenges, including trauma, neglect, abuse, and disrupted education. Some of the young people we care for may also have additional needs. As a result, they may struggle with trust, emotional regulation, anxiety, and uncertainty about their future — and this can sometimes be expressed through behaviours that others find challenging.

Working in this environment can be demanding. There will be occasions when you may face challenging behaviour, be ignored, or experience verbal hostility. We believe positive change happens through patience, commitment, and perseverance — our children deserve adults who remain supportive and dependable, even during difficult moments.

We are dedicated to ensuring our staff feel valued and supported, with comprehensive training, mentoring, coaching and ongoing professional development provided to help you succeed. Previous experience is welcomed but not essential — we place greater importance on attitude, commitment, and a genuine desire to make a difference. As part of your development, you'll be expected to work towards a QCF Level 3 in Health and Social Care for Children and Young People.
