Welcome to Together Stronger South Wales
Building brighter futures for children and young people across South Wales.
At Together Stronger South Wales, we are dedicated to providing high‑quality residential care for children and young people aged 8 to 18 years. Our homes support Children Looked After who may have experienced trauma, adversity, or disruption in their lives, and who present with a range of complex emotional and behavioural needs.
We believe that every child deserves to feel safe, valued, respected, and loved. Our purpose is to create nurturing home environments where children can heal, develop positive relationships, and achieve their full potential. Through consistent care, therapeutic support, and meaningful opportunities, we empower young people to build confidence, resilience, and the skills they need for a successful future.
Our vision
Our vision is to create safe, supportive, and nurturing homes where every child can thrive. We are committed to providing individualised care that recognises each child's unique experiences, strengths, and aspirations.
By working in partnership with local authorities, families, education providers, healthcare professionals, and wider communities, we aim to promote healing, encourage positive outcomes, and help prevent further trauma. We strive to ensure that every young person in our care is given the opportunity to reach their full potential and move forward with confidence into adulthood.
Our approach
At Together Stronger South Wales, our homes are built on the foundations of safety, trust, respect, and compassion. We provide a stable and caring environment where children feel secure, supported, and encouraged to grow. Our care is centred around each child's individual needs, goals, and Personal Plan outcomes. We focus on:
- Promoting emotional, physical, and social well‑being
- Supporting education, personal development, and life skills
- Building positive relationships and healthy attachments
- Encouraging independence and preparation for adulthood
- Celebrating achievements and recognising individual strengths
- Providing therapeutic support that promotes recovery and resilience
We understand that meaningful and lasting progress comes through consistency, understanding, and genuine relationships. Our dedicated staff work alongside young people every day to help them overcome challenges and achieve positive outcomes.
Listening to children and young people
The voices of our children and young people are at the heart of everything we do. We actively seek their views, opinions, and feedback about the care they receive and the environment in which they live. We also value the perspectives of families, placing authorities, professionals, and partner agencies. By listening, learning, and responding to feedback, we continuously improve our services and ensure that the needs of those we support remain our highest priority.
Investing in our people
We recognise that exceptional care begins with exceptional people. The well‑being, development, and professional growth of our staff are fundamental to the quality of care we provide. We invest in training, development, and ongoing support to ensure our teams have the skills, knowledge, and confidence to deliver outstanding care, fostering a positive working culture that enables our staff to provide the stability and consistency children need to flourish.
"Children deserve more than a placement — they deserve a home."
More than a children's home
Our homes are designed to be warm, welcoming, comfortable, and nurturing environments where children can feel a genuine sense of belonging. We are committed to challenging outdated perceptions of residential childcare by creating homes that reflect the care, dignity, and respect every child deserves. Together, we are building brighter futures and helping young people grow stronger, safer, and more confident in themselves and their abilities.
Our commitment
We are committed to providing homes where children feel safe, cared for, and empowered to achieve their full potential. Through compassionate care, positive relationships, and high‑quality support, we help young people develop the confidence, skills, and resilience needed to build brighter futures.
